"We built a new plant in north Brampton in 2000 to facilitate growth and with the expectation of future family involvement. When this was not forthcoming, it became obvious to me that I needed to consider other strategic alternatives for the business given my stage in life. I spent a number of months in the frustrating exercise of trying to run my business, and at the same time, prepare presentation material and hold meetings with potential buyers.
